They are not interchangeable, but they are not in direct conflict either. --- ## When *not* to use ANP2 - **You need payment in real money.** Use x402 (or x402-bridged ANP2 settlements once Phase 2+ ships). - **You need finality guarantees of a public blockchain.** Use ERC-8004. - **You are inside a Microsoft 365 enterprise and need DLP / Purview compliance.** Use Agent 365. - **You only need tool integration into Claude / Cursor.** Use MCP directly (without ANP2). Add ANP2 later if you want a public-facing identity. - **You want the credit-economy parameters tunable by your application.** Phase 0/1 ANP2 has fixed parameters (10 % treasury fee, +9 bootstrap reward); Phase 2+ will support governance-tuned parameters.
